Why blog?

I'm planning to blog because I think of things.  I think of things and I want to remember them, I want a place to record what goes on in Elliot's life in words, not just pictures and I realized that aside for the blanks I've filled in in his baby book I haven't kept much of a record the first year of his life.  I haven't written his birth story, I haven't recorded much of his firsts other than the dates, nothing.  Already, I'm looking back and wondering just how fuzzy my memory has gotten over things that happened just a few months ago, so here I am, recording them in the semi-permanent form of the internet.
